Poole bus station in Poole town centre A MAN has appeared in court after stealing two emergency glass hammers at Poole Bus Station. Wayne David Griffin, 36 and of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to charges of theft and failing to surrender to custody when he appeared in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court on July 19. The court heard that Griffin stole the hammers, which belonged to Morebus and were valued at £32.30, from the transport hub in Kingland Road on May 9. District Judge Stephen Nicholls fined the defendant £80 and ordered him to pay £32.30 compensation and £85 prosecution costs. Griffin received no separate penalty for the bail offence after he did not attend court on July 16.

Adam Lee Scott appeared in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court on July 5 in relation to four separate incidents. Scott, whose address was given as Pinewood Way, Salisbury, was drink driving, using a motor vehicle without insurance and driving without a licence in a blue Ford Transit van Christchurch Road, Bournemouth, on July 4. On January 8, he was at the wheel of a Ford S-Max in excess of the drink drive limit and while disqualified on the A338 in Fordingbridge.
