Jammu Tawi, Apr 26: The Courts in the UTs of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh in continuation to an earlier order would conduct hearings through virtual mode till May 15, an order issued by Chief Justice of J&K High Court Justice Pankaj Mithal said on Monday.
However, the physical hearing in any matter would discretionary for bench or judge concerned, subject to satisfaction regarding urgency involved in such matter.
Keeping in view the alarming surge in COVID-19 infection cases in the country in general and the UTs of J&K and Ladakh in particular, the filing or hearing of cases in both wings of High Court (Jammu and Srinagar) as well as in the district and subordinate courts and tribunals would be conducted through virtual mode, the order read.
