President Muhammadu Buhari has described the passing of Prince Tony Momoh as a loss to the human community.
He made the declaration in a message delivered on his behalf to the deceased family in Abuja, on Monday, by his Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, who led a Federal Government delegation to the bereaved family said:

We have lost a valuable member of the human community. But he has left tremendous footprints. He has been a politician, a writer, a publisher and also a party man with a conscience and a servant of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a Minister.

Eight High Court judges were sworn-in on Monday in Edo State by Governor Godwin Obaseki who urged them to be impartial in their dispensation of justice and promised the judiciary necessary support to adopt new technology in the dispensation of justice.
Obaseki said his administration would this year focus on rebuilding courts and judges’ quarters outside the state capital as he promised to hand over the newly built Judges Quarters to the Chief Judge later this week.

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State on Monday boosted the state’s judiciary by swearing-in, eight new judges, into the state high court with a charge on them to dispense justice with impartiality and fairness.
Obaseki who promised his administration’s support for the judiciary assured that in the new fiscal year 2021, he would focus on rebuilding courts and judges quarters outside the state capital, just as he promised to hand over the newly built Judges Quarters to the Chief Judge later in the week.
The governor also assured judges in the state that he would provide the necessary support for them to adopt new technology in the dispensation of justice. The gesture of support, he added, would be extended to the federal judicial institutions in the state, beginning with the planned relocation of the Court of Appeal from its present location.
