The Supreme Court today stayed till June 20 the High Court s bail orders for BNP leader Aslam Chowdhury in two vandalism and arson cases.
He is also an accused in a sedition case filed on charges of hatching a conspiracy with Israel s Likud party and its intelligence agency Mossad to oust the government.
A full bench of the Appellate Division of the SC headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain passed the orders following two separate petitions filed by the state, seeking stay on the HC orders.
