Share This - x The Kerala High Court on Monday directed the Election Commission of India to hold elections to three Rajya Sabha seats from Kerala during the term of the present assembly. A single bench of Justice PV Asha directed the elections to the three seats, which are falling vacant on April 21, to be held before May 2, the date of results of the recently held assembly elections. The Court passed the order allowing two petitions filed by the Secretary of the Kerala Legislative Assembly and CPIM leader S Sharma, challenging the decision of the ECI to defer the elections which were originally proposed on April 12.
