However, the truth is that the Ford government is taking money and jobs out of the north and investing in the south â at great cost to Kenora and the north. Our dear residents of Pinecrest Home for the Aged have endured the isolation for several months. The last time Pinecrest Auxiliary celebrated monthly birthdays was January 2020 with music, cake and ice cream. Although all residents have been vaccinated they are still vulnerable. However, we can still honour February residents by wishing them a Happy Birthday. The celebrants are Darren Sward, 44; George Loohuizen, 87; Alice Nachuk, 89; Constance Oshanski, 92; William Linnitt, 59; Carole Gilbertson, 81 and Charles (Web) Engstrom. 93.
Web Engstrom is the king of the castle at Pinecrest Home. He and his wife Laura (former Justice of the Peace) took up residence last year and if I can guess he made himself known promptly, still being in charge.
