Recently, Pune Municipal Corporation’s (PMC) team of advocates finally managed to get clearance to start resurfacing Konark Nagar Society Road in Viman Nagar, after many years of local residents waiting for the same. The stay order of restricting layering of the road was lifted last week, but work had to be halted after one of the owners of the plot objected. But, after this was resolved, the total patch of road measuring one acre was finally finished on Wednesday morning by the PMC’s road department.

Residents of the
Ambil Odha got some relief from the
Pune Municipal Court (PMC) on Wednesday, as the court extended the stay on the demolition drive till July 19.
The demolition drive at the slum alongside the waterbody had last month created huge controversy.
On the day of the drive, some residents approached the
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) court against the drive where the court had given a stay order against the drive till July 7.
