A multimillion-dollar class action being lodged in the federal court on Wednesday alleges the two major state government-owned electricity companies engaged in price-gouging, costing Queensland families thousands of dollars.
The action, being brought by law firm Piper Alderman alleges Stanwell Corporation and CS Energy engaged in bidding practices within the National Energy Market (NEM) that caused the cost of power to spike.
