State, Tulsa Health Department Open COVID Vaccinations To Ages 12–15

Credit CVS Health The Oklahoma State Department of Health and the Tulsa Health Department announced late Wednesday they will start offering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to children 12 to 15 years old on Thursday. The announcements came after a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advisory panel recommended use of the vaccine for that age group. The Food and Drug Administration expanded its emergency use authorization for the vaccine earlier this week. This is great news for our state, Deputy State Health Commissioner Keith Reed said in a statement. Expanding the age range for this vaccine will help us protect more people and further slow the spread of COVID-19.
