SDM University adopts 10 govt primary schools in Dharwad

Dharwad, Dec 19: Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara (SDM) University, which is celebrating its second anniversary, will adopt 10 government primary schools in the Dharwad district to take care of their overall development in a phased manner.
Giving details of the second anniversary programs,Vice Chancellor Niranjan Kumar said that they had already identified some schools and collected information regarding their requirements.
“We plan to facilitate the overall development in a phased manner over three to four years. Depending on the requirement of each school we plan to provide basic amenities, infrastructure, training for the teachers and holding workshops for the students. The objective is to ensure that the students get benefits,” he added.

Panaji (Goa) [India], December 16 (ANI): Goa s beef traders have urged Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to use his good offices with the BJP to prevent Karnataka s Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Bill, 2020 from being notified.
