Drive By Shooting Suspects Shot at Grand Junction PD Building

Drive By Shooting Suspects Shot at Grand Junction PD Building Enter your number to get our free mobile app We all remember just a few weeks ago when there was a drive-by shooting that took place in Grand Junction resulting in murder charges being filed against 21-year-old Justin Fowler and 20-year-old Trey Shriver. It was a shooting that took place at 1:00 a.m. on Moonlight Court, and luckily no one was injured. Well, those same guys are looking at even more charges as they are suspected of shooting a gun at the Grand Junction Police Building located at 555 Ute Avenue in Grand Junction.

It Happened Here

Adrian Rosales, of 114 Moonlight Court, Midway, was charged Saturday afternoon by Greeneville police with aggravated domestic assault. Police were called to a Young Circle address and saw the alleged victim and three children sitting in a car. Rosales was standing on a porch, Officer Larry Gilbert said in a report. The alleged victim told police that Rosales “had strangled her and slammed her head against a bathroom mirror several times,” the report said. Rosales took the cellphone carried by the alleged victim, who ran next door for help. Rosales “chased her down and dragged her back into her apartment,” the report said. She was eventually able to get away from him and call for help. The alleged victim had bruises on her neck and marks on her hands and arms. A records check showed that Rosales also had an active arrest warrant for violation of probation. Rosales was held without bond pending a first scheduled appearance Monday in court.

Shooting suspects now face attempted murder charges

After additional information surfaced, Mesa County Sheriff’s Office investigators have amended the charges for two local men suspected in an early morning drive-by shooting on Thursday. Justin Fowler, 21, and Trey Shriver, 20, now face attempted first-degree murder charges and each received $500,000 cash-only bonds from Mesa County Court on Friday. If this story wasn’t strange enough, Fowler and Shriver are also being charged with several offenses after bullet holes were discovered in several second-floor windows at the Grand Junction Police Department building at 555 Ute Ave. on Thursday. In the drive-by shooting investigation, while deputies were speaking with two neighbors at the scene Thursday morning, a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle — a maroon Toyota pickup — was seen turning north on Moonlight Court.
