Date Time Statement from State Government 23 January In light of the City of Fremantle’s failure to withdraw their consent to the occupancy of Pioneer Park in a reasonable timeframe, the State Government has taken the necessary action to protect the community. It is in the public interest, and in the interest of the vulnerable people who are being taken advantage of by the activists and organisers of the camp, for the State Government to intervene. On Friday afternoon, Lands Minister Ben Wyatt signed the revocation order under Section 50(2) of the Land Administration Act 1997 to remove the City of Fremantle as the management body for Pioneer Park.
