Gov’t stands firm on face mask policy inside vehicles By TED CORDERO, GMA News Published February 5, 2021 2:23pm The government has stood firm in its policy of requiring persons inside a vehicle to wear face masks, whether or not they are from the same household. In a joint statement, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Department of Health (DOH) said it shall observe and enforce the following guidelines on the wearing of face mask inside vehicles:     When traveling alone, the driver may remove his/her face mask     When the driver is with passenger/s, it is mandatory for all individuals inside the vehicle to properly wear a face mask, regardless if they are from the same household

Grab ordered to refund P6 25M to Metro Manila passengers

In a statement Thursday, Grab Philippines said the company was ordered by the antitrust watchdog to disburse the said “administrative fine” to passengers in the National Capital Region who took GrabCar services from August 11 to October 31, 2019. “While Grab’s fare remains compliant with the fare matrix of the LTFRB (Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board), this directive follows PCC’s findings that there were some pricing issues from 11 August until 31 October 2019 that need to be addressed,” Grab Philippines said.

LTFRB launches subsidy program for PUV drivers

(JANSEN ROMERO / MANILA BULLETIN) LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra III led the launching of the agency’s PUV Service Contracting Program website which aims to provide a swift registration process for PUV drivers who want to earn additional income. Delgra said eligible to register under the program are drivers of traditional and modern public utility jeepneys (PUJs), as well public utility buses (PUBs) whose livelihoods have been severely affected by the pandemic. During the launching of the website on Friday, Sakay.ph Director for Logistics and Partnership Brian Cu discussed the step-by-step process of joining the program through the website. The service contracting program website was developed by the LTFRB with the systems manager of Sakay.ph, the agency added.
