The consultation by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) on its proposed levy for the period from 2022 to 2025 has now closed. The CITB is finalising its levy proposals before opening a period of consensus from 4 June 2021 to 15 August 2021 during which construction businesses will be able to comment. PREMIUM Experts have warned Scots need to reduce their red meat intake if climate targets are to be met SNP ministers have been told to draw up a blueprint to level with the public about “potentially contentious issues” including cutting meat and dairy consumption – while taxing high carbon foods has been pointed to as a potential radical solution. The Scottish Government has been told to be upfront with the public about what changes to diets will be required if carbon emissions are to be cut by 75% of 1990 levels in just 11 years time, as MSPs have committed to.
