More Stimulus Checks, Child Tax Credit Payments Expected Many Hill County residents can expect to see another stimulus check and additional funds from an expanded child tax credit after the United States Congress passed the American Rescue Plan last week. The bill was signed by President Joe Biden Thursday, March 11, and the Internal Revenue Service was expected to begin delivering payments to some recipients over the weekend. The plan includes stimulus checks as large as $1,400 per person to millions of Americans. The $1,400 payments will go to individuals earning up to $75,000 and phase out, with single people earning more than $80,000 not eligible for a payment.
