Roach has been going to annual Pride events since the mid-90s. I came out in the 90s and it was difficult for us, but now for the next generation and the next generation it is going to be much more easier for them, she said.
Roach was at the event with her family. Her niece, Gray Roach, said she has been a supporter of the community since the day she was born. My mother is a lesbian, she said. She s been in a happy marriage for 15 years.

Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland has announced $48.5 million for tourism relief in Atlantic Canada.
Freeland made the announcement at Founders Food Hall and Market in Charlottetown Thursday during a visit to Prince Edward Island. Liberal MP Lawrence MacAulay joined her at the podium.
