A little more than a year after the Institute of Notre Dame shut its doors for good comes word of a possible new school, one that would be located outside of the beltway.Former IND grads are even more convinced now that persistence really does pay off. We are not giving up. We said that from the beginning, said Drena Fertetta, of Saving IND Inc.The group that calls itself Saving IND Inc. has apparently kept its word, through the tears and disappointment of the school s closure to what it says is now a pathway toward possibilities. We came up with Marian Preparatory Academy, Fertetta said. We are working out some details for that location in terms of space, exacting space, things that we are going to need as a school as well as academics. The group said it plans to welcome its first students to the Baltimore County school by the fall of 2022.Christine Goins, who lives in North Carolina, has been one of the almost three dozen IND alumnae committed to the new school project.
