TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) â Florida State Universityâs Presidential Search Advisory Committee will conduct the first round of interviews with nine candidates for university president Friday, May 14, and Saturday, May 15.
The committee selected the following candidates for first-round interviews:
Robert A. Blouin: Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill
David K. Coburn: Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, Florida State University
Richard M. Corcoran: Florida Education Commissioner, former Florida House Speaker
Randall W. Hanna: Dean and CEO, Florida State University, Panama City campus; Dean, College of Applied Sciences

Three seasoned higher education luminaries are soon joining the ranks of CU Denver’s leadership team, bringing a cumulative 80+ years of deep and varied education experience. These positions will focus on leading academic innovation and advancement, enhancing student success, and fortifying strategic partnerships, setting CU Denver up for long-lasting success. In recent weeks, the university announced Constancio Nakuma, PhD, as Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, Monique L. Snowden, PhD, as Senior Vice Chancellor for Strategic Enrollment and Student Success, and Anthony E. Graves as the inaugural Managing Director of Partnerships and Innovation.

I write to share that Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Robert A. Blouin will step down from his position by the end of this calendar year and resume his work as the Vaughn and Nancy Bryson Distinguished Professor in the Eshelman School of Pharmacy. A well-respected educator, innovator, researcher and administrator, Bob has been a source of unwavering support for the University, guiding some of our most important and challenging work.
Bob was named Carolina’s 15th provost in August 2017. Every day, he has conducted his role with the utmost dignity and respect for his administrative colleagues, faculty associates, students and community partners. Bob goes the extra mile in everything he does and is routinely the first person in South Building and the last one to leave each day. I am grateful for his steadfast support and passion for Carolina’s mission to serve our state, nation and the world.
