It may have seemed like an overly long work week as we are back to normal working hours but it’s finally Thursday and that means sorting out a schedule for the weekend revolving around brunches, long happy hours, and other great things to do in Dubai.

The story follows two individuals who meet at a very trying period of time in their life. What begins as a bitter argument transforms into an unexplainable understanding between the two eventually moving towards forgiveness and ownership over their lives.

The theatre scene in the city is looking up once again. While in the recent past, many shows were held, and some even witnessed full capacities with social-distancing in place, the summer season is offering shows for everyone, with fresh concepts, storylines and more.
Keeping the stories alive
City-based writer and director Mahua Krishnadev’s next offering Baat Karamaat is an extension of her belief that stories shape us. A theatrical production inspired by the folk tales of an era gone by, the talent promises to transfer you to the time when you heard tales lying down in your granny’s lap. From Aladin’s genie in the lamp to the Ali Baba’s cave full of treasure, they would bring to stage fables that you’d grown up with. It brings together a host of the city’s talented actors. The Dubai Comedy Festival is returning to the city from May 13 to 22 for ten days that promises to be filled with belly-aching fun. The festival will take place at various locations across Dubai and will include stand-up sets to variety shows, activations and plenty more. It will showcase some fantastic local and global comedians, with shows in several different languages. The line-up for this year’s show has not yet been revealed but we’ll be sure to tell you when it does.
