MIDDLEBOROUGH, Mass. (
WBZ NewsRadio) Fourth grade teacher Allyssa Beird of Middleborough made history Sunday night when she competed in the first ever American Ninja Warrior Women’s Championship.
Beird has competed in every season of American Ninja Warrior since 2016.
When she joined Season 8 in 2016, she secured the 30th spot at the city qualifier, leading her to the “Fantastic Four.
In Season 9, she was the first female of the season to hit the buzzer at the Cleveland City Qualifier.
She told WBZ NewsRadio s Matt Shearer that her students are aware that she is a ninja warrior.
In the classroom, she tries to incorporate some aspects of the show like the buzzer.
