Wicked Local
In the span of a year, a local group concerned about the welfare of their neighbors during the COVID pandemic expanded from 49 to thousands of people wanting to help.
Newton Neighbors Helping Neighbors (NNHN) was created in March 2020 after resident Shalini A. Tendulkar asked a question on a Newton parents’ Facebook page right after the start of the pandemic: “Do we know what would happen to families whose kids get free or reduced-cost lunches at school if the schools shut down?”
After almost 50 people responded, sharing the concern, Tendulkar created a separate Facebook group to address the issue and “find other ways to support our community,” she said previously.
When I had to go to Newton-Wellesley Hospital, I used to like.
When I had to go to Newton-Wellesley Hospital, I used to like to park on Beacon St and walk to my appointment, more for the exercise than to save a little money. I went the other day and noticed that there are now No Parking signs on both sides of the road, for quite a distance. Anyone know what happened and why the change? Thanks

We have a standup piano that has a baby grand size harp that we are looking to give to a family
We have had it for about 16 years and my kids do not play it any longer. With a tune up it sounds great - full disclosure it does not sound concerto great but it does sound great. It is perfect for a family especially if you are taking lessons. There is one scratch on the side from the previous owner. It can be hidden if you want but it never really bothered us. The piano is about 90 years old and I am the 3rd owner.
