CLEVELAND, Ohio The Ohio Supreme Court on Friday rejected an appeal by a man challenging a Cuyahoga County judge’s order forcing him to appear for an in-person court proceeding during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge Cassandra Collier-Williams ordered Michael Paluscsak to attend his Oct. 1 deposition in-person rather than allowing him to appear remotely via Zoom as part of a lawsuit where he and a debt collector sued each other in 2017 over a $1,175 medical debt he owed St. Vincent Charity Medical Center.
