The class of 2021 has earned more than $2 million in scholarships from 25 universities. FAIRHAVEN Media arts students have not only pushed on throughout the pandemic but have taken inspiration from their own experiences and turned them into the script for a new project. Fairhaven High School received 10 nominations and eight awards from the 2021 New England Regional Student Production Awards. Senior Charlie Fernandes set a new record of receiving seven awards for his work. To reflect back on his four years of his high school career in film and media, Fernandes created a college application in the form of a video called, Who am I? which followed his journey as a young child to graduation and his early interest in filmmaking. When answering the common college question of Who am I? he thinks back to why he chose film from the start and all the home videos he created while growing up, but he realizes that he has become the successful creator he is today with the help of friends and family, always supporting his pursuit of happiness.
