New Delhi [India], December 31 (ANI): As the Kerala Assembly passed a resolution against the three contentious farm laws brought by the Centre on Thursday, V Muraleedharan, Minister of State (MoS) for External Affairs has said that it is a futile exercise because the law has been passed by the Parliament. Kerala Assembly is doing a futile exercise because the law has been passed by Parliament. It is like going against the general view of the whole country, Muraleedharan told ANI. If Kerala government is so particular that every farmer should sell his produce as per APMC act, Kerala should enact such a law. Government of India has brought this law to give better remuneration to farmers, he added.

Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan moves resolution against Centre s farm laws in one-day special session of Assembly
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday moved a resolution against the Centre s new farm laws in a one-day special Session of the Assembly. This comes as scores of farmers are braving cold wave to protest at various border points in Delhi.
Speaking in the Assembly, Vijayan said the agitation, if it continues, will seriously affect Kerala. The current situation makes it clear that if this agitation continues, it will seriously affect Kerala. There is no doubt that Kerala will starve if the supply of food items from other states stops, Vijayan said.

A resolution against the contentious farm laws were passed in the Kerela Assembly on Thursday. The three contentious farm laws, which were introduced by the central government, were said to be anti-farmer and pro-corporate by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in the Assembly.
The resolution was moved in the special session convened in compliance with Covid-19 protocols to support the agitating farmers. The resolution stated that the center should withdraw all the three farm laws and the genuine concern of the farmers should be addressed by the governme

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In an unprecedented move, the lone Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA O Rajagopal did not object to the
resolution passed against farm laws by the Kerala Assembly on Thursday, and later said that he supports the resolution .
Speaking to media after the Assembly session, Rajagopal said he abstained from voting and did not oppose the resolution because people do not need to know these differences in opinions.
