A Massachusetts agency on Monday launched free swimming lessons in the wake of a series of drownings across the Bay State.
The state Department of Conservation and Recreation is offering free “Learn to Swim” classes at certain DCR-managed pools for the next six weeks.
The lessons are available to children ages 4-plus and are being held in three, two-week sessions. Children must be at least 4 years old by the first lesson.
