CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Maslowâs Army works every winter to help people on the street get out of the cold, but they say they need help from the community to do it.
Thatâs especially true this week with bitterly cold temperatures and more snow coming.
The charityâs new homeless shelter in Queensgate, The Todd B. Portune Memorial Day Center, opened early Sunday.
Maslowâs Army says they received an ordinance from city zoning allowing them to operate 24 hours a day as frigid weather arrives.

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - The freezing death of a homeless man 3 years ago Sunday inspired the cityâs first and only day center to open on Christmas Day.
Maslowâs Army staff say they opened the Todd B. Portune Memorial Day-Care Center just 24 hours before the 3rd anniversary of Ken Martinâs passing
They say they have a lease to operate the day center for 90 days with an option to add a fourth month.
