Actor Shefali Shah on Sunday began shooting for her upcoming feature film Darlings, also starring Alia Bhatt. Backed by superstar Shah Rukh Khan s Red Chillies Entertainment and Bhatt s Eternal Sunshine Productions, the dark comedy traces the lives of two women as they find courage and love in exceptional circumstances. Shah took to Instagram and shared a picture of the film s script, writing, It s time. Stepping into new shoes, the National Award-winning actor captioned the picture. Directed by writer Jasmeet K Reen, the film is set in Mumbai against the backdrop of a conservative lower middle-class neighbourhood.

Alia Bhatt has begin work on her first film as a producer, Darlings and the actress who is also the star of the film shared her nervousness as she steps into a new role. The actress asked for good wishes and said she’d need it to match up with her co-stars Vijay Varma, Shefali Shah and Roshan Mathew.
Her post attracted a lot of good wishes from her friends and colleagues including Zoya Akhtar, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, co-star Vijay Verma among others. But the best and the sweetest one came in the form of her co-producer Shah Rukh Khan who asked Alia to cast him in her next home production.
