News briefs: Meals on a budget workshop announced in Pike County Chillicothe Gazette Meals on a budget workshop announced in Pike County PIKETON – The Workforce & Business Development Program at the Community Action Committee of Pike County will be hosting a “Meals on a Budget” Workshop, a no-cost opportunity providing in-depth information on how to create a meal budget for households, and how to plan meals to make the most of the available budget. During the workshop, attendees will receive tools and information to use in creating their own meal budget. Participants attending will receive a recipe book and additional tools.  The workshop will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30 at the OhioMeansJobs Career Center at 941 Market Street in Piketon.

Related Company:  Vermont Business Magazine Six nonprofit organizations in New Hampshire and Vermont will receive much needed funds to help those they serve make informed financial decisions through a set of grants announced by Citizens today. Under the bank’s Citizens Helping Citizens Manage Money program, these nonprofit organizations will receive a total of more than $107,000 to support work in this critical area across the states. As part of the Citizens Helping Citizens Manage Money program, the bank this year will provide $1.5 million in contributions to more than 105 nonprofits in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and New York. The initiative helps the community by supporting programs that give people the confidence and tools they need to budget, save, invest, be financially healthy and inspire them to pursue their goals.
