Rhino Fund Uganda that was managing Rhinos at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary located in Nakasongola District has withdrawn its case of breach of contract case against the owners of the land where the facility is located.
The case was filed in April against the owners of the land Captain Charles Roy together with Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranches Limited for breach of contract and illegally cancellation of its licence that was pending hearing before High Court Justice Musa Ssekaana.
The licence in question was signed on August 20th 2002 to run for 30 years and it was cancelled in January after 18 years.

Global impact investor, FCA Investments has announced a commitment of USD$1 million (approx. UGX3.5 billion) to Ensibuuko; a fintech startup providing digital financial services to over 200,000 rural customers across Uganda. The firm’s Founder and Chief Executive; Gerald Otim says, the investment will be used to scale rapidly in Uganda and to expand to other markets in Africa.

Rhino Fund Uganda (RFU), the operators of Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a home for 33 endangered white rhinos, had late last week asked court to issue an order, stopping their eviction until final disposal of their main case that is pending before the same court.
