Mastercard has today announced the appointment of Shehryar Ali as Country Manager for East Africa.
Shehryar will be based at Mastercard’s regional head office in Nairobi and will be responsible for managing Mastercard’s operations in the region including Kenya and Tanzania. He will be reporting to Raghav Prasad, Division President Sub Saharan Africa.

UNICEF announced the twenty-two startups that will be taking part in this year’s cohort of the UNICEF StartUp Lab.
UNICEF StartUp Lab is a co-creation space and accelerator, that engages young startups in the development of innovative, open-source, market-driven products and solutions that address complex problems impacting the well-being of children and young people, especially the most vulnerable.
Over two hundred applications were received from across Ghana, from which twenty-two promising social impact startups were selected to participate in a six-month business and product development programme.
