Haydar Dogramaci/ Getty Images A NEW coronavirus testing centre is being set up on the Royal British Legion car park on Ruiton Street, Lower Gornal, this week following community feedback. The new centre will boost testing capacity in the north of the borough as cases continue to rise. It replaces the temporary site formerly located on a section of the Bilston Street Car Park in Sedgley which closed on Thursday evening (July 8). The new test site opens from 9am today (Friday July 9), but appointments must be booked in advance by calling 119, or online at www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test. The testing centre will be open 9am to 6pm, seven days a week initially for the next two weeks. It can be accessed by car or on foot.
