A cash-hungry cleaner who manipulated a blind war veteran into buying her a house before plundering his bank account is back behind bars after failing to repay stolen money.
Veronica Robinson was caged in 2017 after she was convicted of conning the 93-year-old man out of nearly £250,000 following an investigation led by Dudley Councilâs trading standards team.

Veronica Robinson manipulated the blind Second World War veteran into buying a £190k house for her as well as plundering his bank account and his life savings. She took control of the victim s life, purporting to be his carer, and isolated him from family, friends and neighbours who had previously helped care for him, after starting as a cleaner at his home in 2013. Robinson, of High Haden Road, Cradley Heath, was jailed for five and a half years back in 2017 after she was convicted of fraud and perverting the course of justice, following an investigation led by Dudley Council’s trading standards team.
