During a performance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Cory Kahaney recalled being asked at a party what she did for a living. I said, I m a comedian, and they looked at me with shock and horror and they re like: Oh, that is the hardest job! I could never do that job. . And obviously, this person doesn t know I work an hour a night, including the commute, joked Kahaney of the length of a stand-up routine.
Obviously, comedy takes days and months and years to perfect. Kahaney, a past finalist on NBC s Last Comic Standing, is one of the rare stand-up performers who makes a living at her craft.
