Active COVID-19 cases in Strathcona County are starting to decline, according to the latest stats.
COVID19Stats.Alberta.ca, the geospatial AHS case-tracking site, shows there are 402 active cases of the novel coronavirus in the entire county, with 300 in Sherwood Park and 102 in rural Strathcona County.

The site shows there have been 1,259 cases of the virus recorded in Sherwood Park since the start of the pandemic, with 948 now listed as recovered, which is an increase of 107 since Monday, Dec. 14. There have also been 11 deaths recorded in Sherwood Park due to COVID-19, with the latest death reported by AHS on Monday afternoon.

COVID-19 continues to maintain its hold on Strathcona County with the area sitting at 464 active cases reported Wednesday, Dec. 10.

In Sherwood Park, there have been 1,101 cases of COVID-19 recorded since the start of the pandemic, with 739 of those listed as recovered now, which is an increase of 96 recoveries since Monday, Dec. 7. There have also been nine deaths recorded in Sherwood Park due to the novel coronavirus but few details have been released. The lastest two deaths were reported over the weekend and on Monday.
