FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots will travel to Philadelphia for joint practice sessions against the Eagles prior to their preseason game on Thursday, Aug. 19. The practice sessions will take place on Monday, Aug. 16 and Tuesday, Aug. 17 at times yet to be determined. Joint practices were not allowed in 2020 and preseason games were cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions during the pandemic.
The Patriots last participated in joint practice sessions in 2019, traveling to both Nashville, Tennessee to practice with the Titans and to Detroit for joint sessions with the Lions. In 2017, the Patriots hosted Jacksonville for joint sessions prior to the first preseason game of the year and then traveled to West Virginia, the site of the Texans training camp, prior to their second preseason matchup. In 2016, the Patriots hosted joint sessions with New Orleans and Chicago prior to their respective preseason matchups.

BOSTON, MA The Boston Red Sox today continued their participation in Major League Baseball’s 2021 Draft with nine additional selections in rounds 2-10.
Over the first two days of the draft, Boston has selected four right-handed pitchers, one catcher, one second baseman, one third baseman, one shortstop, one center fielder, and one utility player.

Saturday, she returned to where she took her first steps toward her olympic run, the track at Providence College.
It’s the track that helped her become an All-American and 2-time NCAA champion.
She came back to train with the coach that helped her accomplish those feats, Ray Treacy.
Besides coming back to train with her college coach, she said it was the weather that brought her back to friartown.
“I’m actually doing the training here to get used to the humidity that’ll be in Japan for the next few weeks,” Sisson said.

QB Mac Jones. Terms of the contract were not announced.
Jones, 22, was selected by the Patriots in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft with the 15th overall selection out of Alabama. The 6-foot-3, 214-pounder was the starting quarterback for the 2020 BCS National Championship Alabama team. He was a consensus first-team All-America and All-SEC first-team selection as a redshirt junior in 2020. Last season, Jones led all Division I quarterbacks with a school-record 4,500 yards passing with 41 touchdowns and just four interceptions, while setting the NCAA single-season record for completion percentage at 77.4 percent.
