Former Friar Emily Sisson returns to Providence to prep for Olympics

Last month, Emily won the 10,000 meter run at The U.S. Olympic Trials in Oregon.
Saturday, she returned to where she took her first steps toward her olympic run, the track at Providence College.
It’s the track that helped her become an All-American and 2-time NCAA champion.
She came back to train with the coach that helped her accomplish those feats, Ray Treacy.
Besides coming back to train with her college coach, she said it was the weather that brought her back to friartown.
“I’m actually doing the training here to get used to the humidity that’ll be in Japan for the next few weeks,” Sisson said.
