Before the Kansas City Chiefs reach the beginning of the new league year (at 3 p.m. Arrowhead Time on March 17) they’ll need to make some decisions about the 10 players who are restricted free agents and exclusive rights free agents. We’ve already covered the six restricted free agents here.
If the Chiefs do nothing, each of the remaining four players will become an unrestricted free agent. But by extending the right

Positives:
Miami used Brevin Jordan in a variety of roles last season, and he was effective in all of them. He lined up in-line, out wide as a boundary receiver, in the slot and in the backfield as an H-back. He s comfortable working from anywhere on the field and that versatility is a major plus in the modern NFL. Jordan is a very good athlete who moves well and is a serious threat to pick up significant chunks of yardage after the catch.
As a route runner, Jordan is already solid. He accelerates quickly, breaks in and out of his routes with pace and works hard to find soft spots in zones. He s a nightmare for slower players such as linebackers to cover man-to-man, and he s too big for most cornerbacks to bring down. Jordan has reliable hands and is a very tough matchup to cover overall.
What we learned about the Chiefs this week
Taking a look at the week of February 22 on Arrowhead Pride.
The NFL offseason is in full swing, and with the Kansas City Chiefs losing in the Super Bowl, the focus has quickly shifted to how they can address areas of need so that they can return to the big game for the third season in a row.
Our Ron Kopp investigated five Chiefs’ position of need.
Second wide receiver
The Chiefs need a more reliable option for their second wide receiver and they need it immediately. As of right now, the only two returning wide receiver contributors from 2020 are Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman; re-signing restricted free agent Byron Pringle isn’t enough for 2021.
Miami Hurricanes tight end Brevin Jordan has been in
#Miami TE Brevin Jordan has met with several NFL teams via Zoom, but he lists the following as the teams he has consistently heard from: #Packers, #Patriots, #49ers, #Seahawks & #Chiefs.
There s a TON of interest in him, & it s easy to see why once you turn the tape on #NFLDraft Justin M (@JustinM NFL) February 23, 2021
At this writing, the Chiefs have four tight ends still on the roster behind the starter in five-time All-Pro Travis Kelce: Nick Keizer, Deon Yelder, Ricky Seals-Jones and Evan Bayliss.
Keizer, 25, registered 302 offensive snaps (27%) and 223 special-teams snaps (51%) for the Chiefs in 2020. On nine regular-season targets, Keizer had six catches for 63 yards. Keizer is an exclusive rights free agent.
