They adapted in significant ways to fulfill their missions. Early on, All Souls Congregation took measures to safeguard congregants. In-person services were canceled and replaced by virtual services. When congregants did interact with each other or community members, masks, social distancing, and handwashing became the norm. Using a variety of means, All Souls has maintained contact with, and supported its congregants throughout the pandemic. FRESH New London, a food justice organization that operates community gardens, youth programs, and networks with other progressive groups, completely revamped its operations. Policies were implemented to ensure that its employees, youth, and anyone who spent time in the gardens stayed safe and limited the spread of coronavirus.
