The following events have been cancelled for Wednesday, Feb. 10 and Thursday, Feb. 11 due to the threat of inclement weather.
Decatur County Schools have postponed their Valentine’s parties and deliveries until either Tuesday, Feb. 16 or students’ first day back to school.
George Butler Memorial Food Pantry in Newbern cancelled.
Southwest Human Resources Agency has postponed the commodity food distribution scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 11. The distribution is now scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 17.
Obion County Schools have cancelled after-school activities scheduled for Wednesday, February 10.

The Northern Lights Foundation Supports Families with Children Suffering from Life-Threatening Illnesses

DULUTH, Minn. – Every year in January, the Northern Lights Foundation typically hosts one of its biggest fundraisers of the year More Cowbell.
The energetic lineup of performances usually captivates a large crowd inside Grandma’s Sports Garden in Canal Park, but the pandemic is putting a pause on the night of fundraising and entertainment.
Dr. Ken Larson founded the organization in 2006. Since then, fundraising efforts have helped provide support to more than 180 Northland families who have fallen on tough times.
Northern Lights Foundation provides grants to families with children who have life-threatening illnesses.
