Speaking about becoming Chairman of the NIFL Premiership Management Committee, Connaire stated, “I am honoured on being elected the Chair of the Premiership Management Committee.
“It is a hard-working voluntary committee with every club represented.
“We have a tough year ahead for football in ensuring fans are back in our grounds, growing our audience, ensuring every club is equally represented through the sub-regional funding and making the tweaks to the dials that will make football better for all.
“I look forward to representing the Premiership wherever I can,” he added.

Northern Ireland’s best young female teams will begin their quest for the Electric Ireland Women’s Academy League title on Friday evening.
The NIFL formed the Electric Ireland Women’s Academy League in 2019 to provide a pathway for the best Under-19 players to progress into the top division of women’s football in Northern Ireland.
NIFL and Irish FA to provide Premiership club testing
The NI Football League and the Irish FA have announced the roll out of Covid-19 tests for Danske Bank Premiership clubs.
Provision of the Covid-19 test kits to clubs has been sourced and funded in a joint venture by the NI Football League and the Irish FA to ensure a safe return to play for all match participants.
NI Football League Interim Managing Director Steven Mills said: “We are delighted to announce the introduction of testing to reaffirm our commitment to the welfare of our players, coaches and match officials.
“We have considered what other leagues have introduced and we will be using the same company and test as the EFL clubs in England.
