Man charged with criminal homicide in West Nashville shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â Metro police have made an arrest in connection with a deadly shooting in Nashville from last week.
According to an affidavit from Metro police, Lenoris Johnson was charged with criminal homicide in the shooting death of Quiondre Benson. The shooting happened around midnight Thursday on Alameda Street.
Police said a witness was interviewed the next day and identified Johnson as the suspect. They said Johnson was also seen on surveillance video entering and then exiting the residence.
Police said Benson was visiting a friend at her apartment when, according to the woman, an unknown man forced his way in, hit her in the face, shot Benson and ran away.

Police say 23-year-old Quiondre Charles Benson was visiting a female friend at her apartment when, according to the woman, an unknown man forced his way in, hit her in the face, shot Benson and ran away.
Benson died shortly after arriving at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â One man was killed and another was injured in an early morning shooting at a South Nashville strip mall.
Metro police said the shooting happened shortly after 3:30 a.m. Friday inside Hookah City Cafe, located on Nolensville Pike.
Officers found 23-year-old Edgardo Cruz-Reyes injured in the parking lot outside the business. He was transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.
Witnesses told police a gunman opened fire inside the bar during a physical fight they say stemmed from an argument about a woman. Several people left the business before police could get there.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â Metro police said they are investigating what led up to a shooting that killed a 19-year-old in Nashville.
Police said ChriâShawn Harbison was taken to Skyline Medical Center Thursday, where he was pronounced deceased. Officers were called to the hospital at 5:45 p.m. and interviewed an 18-year-old and a 16-year-old who brought him to the hospital in a dark gray Nissan Altima.
Police said they believe Harbison was likely shot inside the Altima, but the circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation.

The shooting happened Tuesday morning at 1007 11th Avenue South. Police say 19-year-old Jamarien J. Douglass of Jackson Tennessee was killed during âmultiple rounds of gunfire.â
