Government called on to give clarity on mixed messages in Covid-19 guidance as lockdown eases to help Cumbria Police

The Government has been called upon to stop mixed messages when it comes to Covid-19 regulations as lockdown eases – with research showing many police officers believe there is a lack of clarity. The Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW) warned the Prime Minister not to repeat the lack of clarity over last year’s pandemic measures. This warning came as new research published by PFEW showed only one in 10 police officers in England and Wales thought the police powers previously introduced to manage the Covid-19 crisis were clear. PFEW’s national chair John Apter said: “Given the fact that there have been more than 60 rule changes introduced during the pandemic, it comes as no surprise whatsoever that only 10 per cent of police officers who responded to our survey said they found the Covid-19 rule changes to be clear.

CCP Virus Weaponised Against UK Police Officers, Survey Finds

CCP Virus ‘Weaponised’ Against UK Police Officers, Survey Finds Nearly one in three police officers in England and Wales have been threatened with deliberate infection by someone who is believed to carry the CCP virus, survey results show. “The weaponising of the COVID-19 virus against police officers was revealed to be an emerging threat to health and welfare,” the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW), which conducted the survey, said in a press release. National @PFEW Chair John Apter reacts to the shocking findings of PFEW Demand, Capacity and Welfare survey Of the 12,471 respondents to the federation’s 2020 Demand, Capacity, and Welfare survey (pdf), 32 percent reported a member of the public who was believed to carry the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus had purposely threatened to breathe or cough on them, while 24 percent said someone had actually done so.
