Nottinghamshire Tree Planters helps Southwell look to a greener future

More than 200 trees have been planted by a community group.
With the help of Nottinghamshire Tree Planters, Southwell Town Council has taken further steps to create a greener future.
Karen Roberts, vice-chairman of the councilâs environment committee, and Nottinghamshire Tree Planters, which has more than 500 members, have worked together with 12 residents to plant more than 200 trees and hedgerow whips.

The replanting session took place at Froggattâs Field in Southwell over the Easter weekend.
