Norwich Theatre Royal and sister venues the Playhouse and Stage Two have received a major grant to kickstart a digital transformation.
Norwich Theatre, which runs all three, has been awarded £240,000 from the Garfield Weston Foundation that supports around 2,000 charities in the UK each year.
The money, which is part of the charity s Weston Culture Fund established in response to coronavirus, will support the Digital Transformation Project running across the venues.

The boss of Norwich Theatre Royal has said it will not reopen while social distancing remains in place even if lockdown ends.
Norwich Theatre Royal, the Playhouse and Stage Two received a “lifeline” rescue package worth £3m from the government’s £1.57bn Culture Recovery Fund in October.
Norwich Theatre Royal will not reopen until social distancing measures have been eased.

But Stephen Crocker, chief executive of Norwich Theatre, which runs all three venues, said uncertainty over social distancing restrictions meant the costs of reopening would risk the future of the venues.

It is time to start believing as hit Disney film Bedknobs and Broomsticks has been adapted for the stage and is heading to Norwich Theatre Royal.
The Academy Award-winning film will make its world premiere as an exciting new stage musical on a UK tour this year, which is coming to Norwich from Tuesday, September 28 until Sunday, October 3.
Audiences will enter a world of magic and fantasy and it will feature the original songs by the legendary Sherman Brothers, including Portobello Road, The Age of Not Believing and The Beautiful Briny, with new music and lyrics by Neil Bartram.
