Michael J. Fox is mourning the death of his beloved dog Gus.
The 59-year-old actor shared the sad news on his Instagram page on Monday (12Apr21), alongside a picture of the 12-year-old dog. Gus - great dog and loyal friend, we ll miss you, he wrote.
Fox has been open about the impact Gus has had on his life over the years, as well as with his battle with Parkinson s disease and wrote about the Great Dane-Labrador mix in his 2020 memoir,

Shameless star took to Instagram to share pictures and a video of her pet, as she penned an emotional tribute to the pooch. We lost our best friend of nearly 14 years today, she wrote. Cinnamon was loved by Emmy and Sam (Esmail, Emmy s husband), by his brother Sugar and his sisters Pepper and Fiona. He loved eating, sleeping, and traveling.
Police found the dog s body when they were at the home for a different matter, and called the RSPCA.
When questioned, McCormick told inspectors the dog had bit his hand, so he pushed Charlie off the sofa.
But a post mortem examination revealed Charlie had suffered a blunt force trauma to the head and a further injury afterwards which caused his death. McCormick was jailed for four months at Wirral Magistrates Court after pleading guilty to a charge of causing unnecessary suffering to his pet.

The court heard Charlie had a fractured skull and had suffered a brain trauma.
