Honeycutt leads Salisbury with five total TDs in blowout win over Ledford

Salisbury s football team brought the physicality on its homecoming night, using a ground and pound attack to wear down Ledford in a 42-6 win on Thursday.
Leading the way for the Hornets (4-2, 3-2 Central Carolina 2A) was senior dual-threat quarterback Vance Honeycutt. Honeycutt was efficient in the air, completing 10 of 15 passes (66.7 percent) for 121 yards and a touchdown. But he consistently showed he s most dangerous when the play breaks down and he s able to escape the pocket, as he racked up 16 carries for 133 yards (8.3 yards per carry) and four rushing TDs.
North Davidson rallies in second half to beat Ledford

After trailing 17-6 at halftime, North Davidson s football team used its up-tempo offense to rally in the second half for a 35-24 win over Central Carolina 2A Conference foe Ledford on Friday.
The Black Knights (2-1, 2-0) were led offensively by senior quarterback Tedric Jenkins. Jenkins completed 15 of 27 passes for 175 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions, and added 10 carries for 37 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Senior running back Jaylin Walser led the rushing attack for North Davidson with 14 carries for 75 yards (5.4 yards per carry).
