The two warring factions of AIADMK - Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami (EPS) and his rival O Panneerselvam (OPS) - failed to bury the hatchet on Friday night as some last-minute issues held them back from announcing a merger.
While Chief Minister K Palaniswami was closeted with his Cabinet colleagues to deliberate on the matter, the rival camp led by O Panneerselvam held its own meeting.
