It is a shade past 11 on a wet and dreary Decemberâs day.
The shipping crew for 777 Hot Sauce (777hotsaucecompany.com), Ricardoâs Steak Sauce and the many products that fall under the 777 Hot Sauce umbrella, is taking a much-needed break.
After a morning of making and packaging at the companyâs commercial kitchen, the shipping crew has plans to work long into the night. There is an 18-case hot sauce order headed for Porterâs Grocery in Texas, that must go out that day.
Business is booming.
âI might just get the rest of the staff to help me,ââ said East Molineâs Rich Glancey, chief executive, chief operating and chief financial officer â and shipping supervisor â for the 777 Hot Sauce line. âIâll get the boys (sons Rudy and Anthony) and put them to work.ââ

Thereâs no doubt about it â the world would be a better place if there was an Effie Foster in every town. Luckily, the one and only lives in Culpeper.
Ask anyone who knows Foster and they will quickly describe her as a compassionate, sincere and generous person who will gladly provide a helping hand to anyone in need.
Foster has a warm spot in her heart for senior citizens, for whom she provides rides to doctor appointments, picks up groceries, does laundry or simply sits beside them if they need that little bit of extra loving attention. Rosalie Arthur, one of her 12 children, said she cannot help but crack up when her mother says ââtheyâre senior citizens so I need to help them.ââ Some may say that Foster, 88, is a senior citizen herself but do not dare tell her that.
