The annual trip to the store in downtown Wooster was always a popular holiday activity for area youngsters. I remember, wrote the 1958 Wooster High School graduate, the line to Santa s throne used to stretch all the way across the store’s overhead walkway. How cool was that? he asked. Oh, and of course sitting on Santa s lap on the store s second floor. I m convinced there was no cooler Santa than the Freedlander Santa.

Fritz, Cherry Blossom Thursday, December 10, 2020 Cherry Fritz With sad hearts, the family of Cherry Blossom Fritz announces her passing on December 8, 2020, at the age of 89, after a full and fulfilling life. Cherry was one of ten children born to Pan-Sueh and Chi Lee Lin in Tainan, Taiwan, and a longtime resident of Soddy Daisy, Tn. Cherry is survived by her daughter, Kim Keylon; her daughter-in-law, Robin Fritz; and her granddaughters Raven Keylon, Falyn Keylon, and Courtney Hicks, as well as her sister Eng-Tzu “Cherry Enough” Lin, and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob Fritz; her son, Alan Fritz; and her granddaughter Felecia Fritz.
