01/20/2021 Nagorno-Karabakh (International Christian Concern) – Armenian Christian residents of Nagorno-Karabakh (
Armenian: Artsakh) were forced to flee their homelands with little to no notice or ability to bring and care for their belongings and the people they love. Some residents even had to leave with the dead bodies of their loved ones and search for a place to bury them, reports local news.
One woman in Nor Seysulan lamented how their people and children were killed, wishing instead that Azerbaijan forces had just removed them from their lands without all the violence and death. Her village was one of seven that were transferred back to Azerbaijani control, leaving the resident Armenians homeless again after having just resettled after the last war. Village upon village was burned, homes destroyed and Armenians pushed out.
